Calming turquoise counters and sink create a relaxing, yet invigorating cooks kitchen. With over a foot difference in height between cooks, the cooktop height was lowered to work well for both clients.
A new refrigerator was not in the initial budget, but the opening was sized for an easy swap in the future.
The island is lower so that it is a good prep center for the baker. It seats two. A stainless steel lined cabinet top and drawer houses a toaster at the far left front, plugged in and ready to go. A pull up mixer lift is behind the door on the right end of the island…live and ready to work. A streamlined integral hood is built into the light moulding. Very discreet! The client opted for a microwave space…it will be easy to change out when needed…and added cookbook storage! Side swing oven door makes it easier to get large items out of the oven…the door is out of the way!
L-shaped walls were removed from this former pantry area to make room for the island, but its storage was more than replaced just this pantry and display area. Shallow triangular shelves allow easy access to stored items.
